We celebrated our 90th anniversary on November 17-18, 2007. We rejoice
if you were able to be with us during this exciting event.
On Saturday, November 17th, we held a banquet. Jacque and Tony Chandler prepared
our meal of roast turkey, noodles, vegetables, pie and cream puffs. Members of Broadway Presbyterian Church helped with
serving and clean-up. What a wonderful way to help another church! The Pastors and members of Broadway, South
Park Presbyterian, Milan First and Buffalo Prairie attended the banquet along with many former members and our current members.
Entertaniment was provided by the Reverend Jeff Johan, Joe Nobiling and Brad Flack. Brad provided the video equipment
and ran the slide show of photos of members and events. It was a wonderful meal and we had plenty of time to reminisce.
The Reverend David McAdams closed the banquet with a glorious song.
On Sunday, November 18th, The day began with breakfast breads and juices available.
Pastor Drew, the children and several adults re-created the walk from the original location, Sears School, to the present
location. During worship, the Reverend Sue Krummel, Exec. Presbyter of the Presbytery of Great Rivers, the Reverend
Mel Dirkson, interim here in the 70's and the Reverend Al Noakes, former pastor along with Pastor Drew, took part in
the service. Many former members and guests attended the worship along with our current members. Rea Eleene Woolley
was the pianist. Following worship, there was time to view all of the memorabilia and enjoy the meal provided.
Thank you to all who helped in any way in making our celebration a success.
