Developing and promoting youth activities is an important part of
our church.
The church offers many activities for our younger members.
The members of the Youth Group will
rake your yard, do odd jobs around the house, bake goodies for you, etc.. There is no charge. Please contact the church for
more details.
We have now joined with the other Presbyterian churches in Rock Island, Milan and East Moline to
create the Black Hawk Youth Connection for youth in grades 7-12.
On the second Sunday of each month, a planning committee of youth and adults meets to make plans
for the larger group. We have co-moderators (one youth and one adult) and a secretary.
The larger group meets on the third Sunday of each month. We have gone to Adventureland, had
an overnight, gone to a haunted monster house and Christmas caroled in December. There are many more things that we
have done as a group, also. Forty to eighty youth have attended the various events. It's an enlightening experience
for all of us.
A youth group for elementary age children is being developed. We hope to have our first meeting
very soon.
